The ICFO Organization and Network of Students (ICONS) is composed mainly by PhD students that promote optics and photonics within the general public but also pursue activities for the professional development of its members. We are consolidated as Student Chapter of important institutions in the field of optics and physics as OPTICA (formerly OSA), the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) and the European Society of Physics (EPS). Apart from them, our home institute ICFO offers us support to develop our activities.
ICONS allows us to make collaborative work outside the frame of our particular academic projects, thus strengthening the ties between students. But not everything is work within our group, and we also enjoy several social activities throughout the year.
